We've been asked before, "How did you choose your childs name?"
Actually, each of our children were named after a friend or family member. Some are deceased and some are living.
Jacob: after a close friend that passed away in a car accident.
Grant: Tim's dads middle name.
Austin: Well, Tim just pulled this name out of the air. No rhyme or reason.
Kenneth-Nichols: My grandfathers first name and Tim's grandfathers middle name (both deceased and we couldn't choose just one)
Katelyn: Well, after all of my complications, I had chosen the name Faith. Her Daddy changed her name just hours prior to her birth.
Rebekah: My first name, just spelled differently.
Emilee: Honestly, we had a trend going with the J-A-K initals. Why not have an E so we could have the initials be our first borns knickname? J-A-K-E.
MiKayla: This was a combined name after my brother, Mike and my mom's middle name, Kay. I didn't want to keep it MiKay because it sounded too close to "Mickey" and I wanted to have that added feminine touch.
Jonathon: Well, there went the plan of having the J-A-K-E (smile). Jonathon is named after Tim's grandfather.
Robert: Tim's midde name.
So, there you have it. We have a Jacob (Jake), Austin (Aus), Katelyn (Kate), Emilee (Em) and Jonathon (JR).
And another question we're commonly asked is, "Are you done yet?" We can answer that with a definate YES! That is, unless someone else has other plans in store for us. But yes, WE are finished. Our hearts are full, complete.
Until next time...
