When we are faced with vomiting children who may or may not get to the toilet in time, we use this helpful little tip.
We choose a spot near the bathroom, which in our case, is the livingroom. We spread out plastic table cloths on the floor (commonly found at the dollar stores). You could also use shower curtains or even tarps. Anyways, we put down three table cloths, covering a wide area on the floor making sure to cover any carpeting that leads to the bathroom. (Thankfully, we have wood flooring in the hallways but our livingroom carpet is a very light color) We cover the table cloths with a sheet or two. Then we give the kids a throw blanket that combined with their PJs, will keep them plenty warm enough. We give them a pillow and a bucket to place near their head incase of an emergency.
Oh, and yes. This is what our living room floor looked like last night. Of course, only after the children "decorated" the bedroom floor, the bed, a favorite stuffed animal (sorry, trash man) and the couch covering (thank God for the thick covering).
Wonder which child will start heaving tonight?
