This morning, Tim and I were sleeping in. A knock on our door woke us and in walked Katelyn. She proudly carried a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on a plate. She walked over to Tim's nightstand, placing the plate down. She told him she had poured him a glass of water too but she left it on the table so it didn't spill. Moments later, Emilee came in with the same thing for me! They were both so very proud of themselves. We were quite proud too.
I walked out of our room and saw this on our computer:
TO MOM
I KNOW THAT YOU LOVE ME AND I LOVE YOU SO I WHANT TO SAY A RIDDLE TO YOU.
ROSES ARE RED AND VILITS ARE BLUE I HOPE YOU LOVE ME TO.
Now, isn't that thesweetest thing ever? That boy is going to be such a romantic when he gets bigger. I went upstairs and he asked me if I saw his letter. I wrapped my arms around him and told him I absolutely loved him, more than he could ever imagine. Someday, he will know just what I'm talking about.
Tonight, Jacob and I headed out to do some grocery shopping. On the way, he mentioned that he wanted to go to the Mall to get me a present. I told him the mall was closed but that maybe his Dad could take him sometime. I asked him if he could wait until near my birthday though so that I had a special gift. He said he didn't want to wait that long to give it to me and asked if it could be an early birthday present. I told him we'd talk to Daddy. After we received the news that Burlios (our cat) had returned home, Jacob said, "That blows my plan." His plan was to buy me a kitten to mend my broken heart!! The exact same thing his Daddy did for me. He brought home Burlios after we lost our last cat, Sparkles. To have him be so thoughtful made me so proud.
