Sitting in the Hospital on Friday the 13th

*sigh*

I wish I was home sleeping but I'm not. Instead, I am here in the ER with Austin, awaiting a doctor to come take a look at him.

He's had allergy and flu-like symptoms for the past 2 days along with a fever that has been at 103. After taking benadryl and motrin this afternoon, he broke out in a head to toe rash. The rash hasn't let up at all. In fact, I think it has gotten worse.

In other news, the FIL is still in the hospital awaiting news of what they are going to do with him. Please keep sending up your thoughts & prayers for him.

Tonight, Jonathon decided that he didn't want Austin to steal all of the spotlight. Instead, he decided that he would spike a fever too. He is sitting at 103 currently as well. He's home with daddy though while I get Austin taken care of. Honestly, if it hadn't been for the rash, I would have just treated the fever and thought nothing of it. Afterall, I've dealt with numerous fevers over the years!

I have a pretty funny story to share about my EMT class but haven't had the time to write it all up yet. I'll try to get to that tomorrow. Or, would that be today? *sigh*
