Protein & Turkey Bumps

If you're looking at the title, you're probably wondering what in the heck this posting is about. Let me fill you in.

On Saturday, we went to an open house for Tim's niece. As we were parking, Austin said, "Am I still a protein?" We quickly realized he was asking if he was a pre-teen!! We laughed about that for quite some time.

On Saturday evening, Katelyn & Emilee were playing in their little wading pool. Katelyn came over to us, wrapped herself into a towel and let us know that she had "Turkey Bumps." Apparently, goosebumps are a thing of the past!!

In other news, Jonathon is getting another tooth. This one is his molar on the top left side. We can see the little white point and feel a swollen gum. This explains his constant chewing on anything he can fit into his mouth!!
He has also misplaced his bottle (and the only bottle we had left in the house). So, last night (Saturday) was the first night that he went without a bottle. He had two different crying fits through the night but we got through it. He is now down for a nap without one as well. This is a huge milestone for him. Please pray for US as we try to continue this feat as well as for my sister in law who will be keeping him starting on Tuesday. I hope by then, the bottle is a thing of the past!!
Jonathon is also walking!! In the last 3 days, he has decided to let go of the furniture and walk across the livingroom. This is another huge feat for him. He is 16 1/2 months old!! It looks like my recovery will be interesting if he's walking and on the go!!

Jacob, Austin & Katelyn are having some year-end excitement. They are so excited that they only have another 3 days left of their school year. I have to admit, I am pretty excited that I won't have to get up at sunrise in order to ship the kids off to school. It will be nice to be able to sleep in!!

Today we spent visiting my grandma, doing laundry, and the kids & Tim are currently outside doing yard work while I lay here in bed. I'm having some pain today that has required meds. So, I'll lay for a while and try to get the pain back under control before I get bags packed for the kids. I'm also waiting for the NASCAR race to start, considering it's been under a rain delay for the last three hours. I hope they don't postpone it! I have too many other things to tend to tomorrow and I don't want to miss the race!!

So, that's about the extent of our weekend so far. Time is winding down and my stomach is in about a thousand knots. But, I'll post all about that later on. For now, I'm off to rest my sleepy eyes!! I hope you're enjoying your weekend. It sure was beautiful!
