One thing that I often wonder is how old people were when they married in order to celebrate 50 years of marriage. And so, let me calculate. Tim and I will celebrate our 50th anniversary in the year 2045. WOW! In 2045, Tim will be 70, I will be 68. Jacob will be 48, Austin 45, Katelyn 44, Emilee 42, and Jonathon 39. I can't even believe that my children, with the exception of JR, will all be in their 40's. YIPES!
We have a few major plans this month, one being to start the process of decluttering, or in my terms, pitching! It's time to start the feat of pitching and packing so that we can get a jump start for the process of selling our house. Oh how I hate this stage!!
We also have the final three football games for the boys this month. This past weekend, both boys had great games. They had some tackles and Austin even carried the ball a short distance before he was plowed over. You'd have to know how tiny Austin is to get the full picture here. He was thrilled though. Both boys had their names announced over the PA, which I am sure warmed their little hearts.
Emilee started school last week and she is just thrilled. She has that excitement that stretches across her face when someone asks her about it. It's so precious! And I am thrilled that she is having a good time.
Katelyn had quite an adventure this weekend. While at Jacob's game in Grand Ledge, she was able to talk her Daddy into a ring pop. Just after opening it and really starting to enjoy it, something else came along to have a little bit too. Low and behold, she was stung on the tongue by a bee that was enjoying her sucker as well. I cautiously watched her, making her stick her tongue out every 2-3 minutes to check the swelling. I'm so thankful she isn't allergic to them. It could have been a real bad situation!
Jonathon is slowly adjusting to the "no crib" rule. Sunday night, he fell asleep in Daddy's arms while snuggled on the couch. Priceless moment. He doesn't have that opportunity too often! JR is getting a crazy personality too. His words are starting to come to him more and more. He is constantly talking, even if nobody can understand a word that he says! I'm so thrilled to finally be seeing him progress in this area. That is one aspect of having a preemie. They tend to hit the milestones later than full term babies. Most of the time, it doesn't affect me. But on occassion, there are things that have a way of getting under my skin. That just happened to be one of them.
I am still working hard with my studies while trying to maintain a household, a hectic schedule of football practices, and feed, bathe, and put to bed seven children. It's pretty crazy during the week here! And yes, I said seven. My niece and nephew are with me through the week.
Hope each of you have a fantastic October 2007.
Becky

I love October too. I really like taking all of the kids to the pumpkin patch. It always feels like Fall with the cider and donuts. Of course it is crazy but the kids love it so its a good time!
