Let it

Snow!

Today we are getting a beautiful fresh covering of snow. The beauty of it is almost enough to make me forget about the chill it brings along.

The kids have been outdoors playing, Tim's out plowing and I have done my duty by snapping a few photos over the last couple hours. The snow is suppose to continue to fall and accumulate in excess of a half of foot by early morning.

The roads appear slick. I won't be venturing out on them unless it's an emergency. I have no desire to find the ditch today! If we get the snow they are calling for, the kids may end up with a snow day in the morning. I have finals this week so that is the last thing I want to happen.

I think the next few hours will be spent enjoying the beauty that surrounds us while wrapped up in a cozy blanket next to the fire. I have tons of studying to accomplish anyways.

Stay safe everyone,
Becky

The start of another week.

This weekend we've had:
*Lots of "poops"
*Sore throat (momma)
*Strep throat exposure(dear friends child who is with us at least 3 out of 7 days)
*Stomach Flu exposure (now-Puking friend who was with us Friday and Saturday)

But other than that, we're doing fantastic!! :) I am hopeful that we won't endure the Strep throat OR round two of the flu. Who would be so unlucky to have it twice? Surely not us. Right? :)

I received my first Chem exam back Saturday (93%). I was pleased. Exam 2 is this coming Saturday!

Trying to finalize plans for our family vacation. Still up in the air about a few things and hopeful that it will all work out here in the next few weeks. We're all getting antsy!

Kids enjoyed the snow day and played outdoors a few times this weekend. I haven't had any photos up in a while. I'll try to get to that soon! I have alot on my "mind" lately but just feel like I can't ever get in the "right" mindset to share it. Hopefully soon.

I'm going to study a bit. Hope all is well with each of you.

Tons of fun!

That's what the kids are having today. They are enjoying themselves as they roll, toss, and eat this fluffy white stuff. I captured so many photos of them today. Jonathon took his nap while we all went outdoors. Actually, he's still sleeping!

The snow has stopped coming down but the wind continues to blow pretty fierce. The girls and I took a picture of us together and our cheeks are quite rosy. Please excuse the outfits, mine particularly. Emilee laughed after I suited up telling me I looked like a man. You see, every year for the past ten years, I've either been pregnant and on bedrest or had a new baby to take care of and unable to go out to play in the snow. THIS year, I finally get to go out...but I'm left without the proper attire. *sigh* So, I wore what we had around the house. Yep, I look like a goof. It's okay if you chuckle. But the girls sure had fun!! :)

If I didn't send you an email with more photos and your interested in seeing them, drop me a message or a quick email and I'll send them out! :)

Continue Digging..

Or not! You could be like me and just watch the snow continue to fall and imagine that it will be easier to just wait until it stops before digging out.

Oh, the weather outside is frightful...

Okay, not really. But it does look very pretty! The snow has continued to come down, covering everything with a pure white blanket. The wind is blowing and the drifts are growing, just as predicted. I imagine there will be some snow days tomorrow as the back roads are just horrible for driving (according to my sources).

We just let our dog out. I'm not sure that he enjoys this snow. He made a quick stop to the side yard, tinkled, and then circled around to the deck before he expected to be let back in. The girls have already bundled up and played in the snow for a bit. That was two hours ago though, so surely it would be more fun now since there is more snow. Right? Tim has moved from the bed to the recliner, insistant that he isn't dealing with a hangover. (snicker) Jonathon has devoured every-single-sucker he has laid eyes on. Austin has decided to shower with Jonathon (to wash off his sticky fingered brother) and sit around watching Christmas shows.

And me? I'm just relaxing. Taking pictures. And enjoying this lazy, laid back, snowy, Sunday afternoon.

What are you all up to?

Oh, and Kristi...I wish we lived closer! Imagine the fun the boys would have together playing outdoors in this winter wonderland. It's been a few years since our last meeting. Time to arrange another! :D

More photos to come after a while...

Digging Out

Our Christmas party was a success last night. Our last guests left around 2:30am after watching a movie. Of course, the kids were up and ready to go by 8:00am. Momma had to get up while Daddy sleeps. That is, until the kids decided to use him and our bed for a trampoline. I'm not so sure that Daddy likes that.

This morning, we were greeted with a fresh blanket of snow and it is still coming down. It's so beautiful. There will come a time today that we must bundle up in our snowsuits and dig ourselves out. For now, I'm enjoying the beauty from the warmth of my home! The picture below was how much snow was on our handrail to our front steps.

Today, we are expected to see more snow with another 3-7 inches possible. The winds will be the downfall though. The winds are expected to be blowing 30 to 40mph. This will make driving interesting (and perhaps impossible on these back roads).

I wish you all a warm, cozy day. If you're under the blanket of snow as we are, please be safe.

Have a great day!

Buckets of Snow!

Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!
Isn't it beautiful? The kids had the opportunity to go outside and play for a little bit. Jonathon opted to crash on the floor.
More photos later (with better quality, I hope)
Stay warm!
