Digging Out

Our Christmas party was a success last night. Our last guests left around 2:30am after watching a movie. Of course, the kids were up and ready to go by 8:00am. Momma had to get up while Daddy sleeps. That is, until the kids decided to use him and our bed for a trampoline. I'm not so sure that Daddy likes that.

This morning, we were greeted with a fresh blanket of snow and it is still coming down. It's so beautiful. There will come a time today that we must bundle up in our snowsuits and dig ourselves out. For now, I'm enjoying the beauty from the warmth of my home! The picture below was how much snow was on our handrail to our front steps.

Today, we are expected to see more snow with another 3-7 inches possible. The winds will be the downfall though. The winds are expected to be blowing 30 to 40mph. This will make driving interesting (and perhaps impossible on these back roads).

I wish you all a warm, cozy day. If you're under the blanket of snow as we are, please be safe.

Have a great day!

SO COOL! I love snow! Yeah, I know you're sitting there thinking I'm crazy, LOL! I guess if I had to live where it snowed like that often I probably wouldn't think it was so cool anymore, right?
It's weird how the pictures almost look black and white. Just the white snow and the bare trees I guess. While here it's so bright and green still. I don't think our trees lose their leaves until like late January and then they are right back by mid March. I'll take a picture and post it later. Til then ya'll have fun playing in the snow! And my boys said to please make a snowball for them, k!
