First and foremost, WELCOME TO NOVEMBER. Can you believe it? I'm still in shock. It seems like just yesterday, we were beginning October and now, it's done and over with.
Halloween went well for the kids. Katelyn and Emilee were both witches. Austin was some commander guy. Jacob was an Army guy. Jonathon was grouchy and didnt' dress up and Momma was just thrilled to be trick or treating with five children, alone. Unfortunately, Tim had to work last night which left it up to me to take the kids. All in all, it went pretty good and they had a great time. Jonathon never really fussed and sat in his stroller the entire time. I imagine it was a lot to take in with the sights and sounds.
Speaking of sights and sounds, a friend of ours decided that he would take his daughter through this haunted house in town. Not only did he end up with his own little one, who is 4, but also my four older ones (10, 7, 6, and 4). Soon after they entered, I began to wonder if they were behaving, screaming, crying, or even moving. Apparently, I wasn't too far off. They did all of that, leaving him to try to carry, push, pull and drag everyone but Jacob (who is 10). By the time he reappeared with the scared-to-death little ones, I was laughing my silly head off. Poor Guy! He was sure to tell us that next time, another adult was going in too. I suppose his wife or I could have helped him out with the kids but (ahem) we didn't. (snicker)
I have pictures to share of the kids (no, really I do!) but I don't have them downloaded. I do, however have these photos to share with you:
Those are photos of our new Trailblazer. Well, not brand-spanking new but you get my point. We're now proud new owners of a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer. And yes, it does seat seven! We have a pretty difficult time finding something to fit our large family, short of a bus. We have upgraded from our minivan to what Jacob calls "not a mom kind of car." He told me last night, "Mom, I really like this truck. And Dad is going to really like it too. He won't feel like a Mom anymore when he is driving." Silly boy!!!
I promise to get photos of the kids up soon. But until I can, here are a few more from our pumpkin patch/carving event. Enjoy and I'll talk to you all soon! Have a great day.
The scenic photos are ones I took of the trees while driving down the road (yes, I can multitask while driving 55mph. Not the smartest idea, but I can still do it!)

Sweet ride! Katelyn looks like a little model in her picture. I am glad Halloween was fun. I can relate with your kids. I am always SUPER freaked out when it comes to haunted houses.
Hey...new wheels? Don't get mad if I don't wave while driving by, I might not recognize you in your sporty new ride. That must be exciting!- Nickie
How cool Bec! That is awesome!!
