On the sickness front, we all are holding steady. The kids returned (yet again) to school on Tuesday. By 8:30AM, Jacob was calling home sick. *sigh* His stomach hurt. I wondered if he was pulling my leg but soon realized that the kid was turning down food. If you know Jacob, you know that he never turns down food. He's my very big eater, often times eating as much as an adult. Of course, he is almost eleven. *GASP* So, Jacob came home, crawled into bed and slept half the day away. When he woke up, he still complained of a stomach ache but did manage to eat some. He did his homework and headed to bed.
Jonathon remains the same. He's had a very low-grade fever off and on. He is beyond clingy. He wants nothing to do with anyone but Mom or Jacob. At this very moment, he is sliding down the stairs (on his belly), dragging his beach towel behind him. Now he wants on my lap! He seems to be whining or crying the majority of the time lately. It's wearing my already frazzled nerves quite thin.
The rest of the kids (Austin, Katelyn & Emilee) are doing okay. They don't seem to be complaining much more of any stomach ailments. Thank Heavens for small miracles!
Today, I'm feeling under the weather. My stomach is hurting and I'm exhausted! Hopefully that's as far as it goes for me.
Again, I am asking for continued prayers for two of my dear friends:
Marissa as she grieves the loss of her grandfather. He will be laid to rest tomorrow.
Miss K, who remains at U of M. She's three but has been through way more than most adults.
Now, it's off to take a rest!
