But why?

What do you get when you mix a drenching rain and a curious two year old?

Give up?

I bet you're about to say a wet muddy toddler. Am I right?

Wrong!

How about a giant puddle of water intended for nothing other than drinking from.

Yes, that is exactly what I caught my two year old doing Saturday. He had ran ahead of me on the path. I turned my head away for just a second and when I turned back around, here he was laying flat on his tummy, face planted in the mud puddle, lapping up the water like an animal.

His new theme right now is to pretend to be a cat.

I was able to squeal "Jon-a-thon" but not before the people behind me witnessed his trick. The upside is that they thought he had fallen into the mud puddle. When I explained that he was drinking out of it rather than having fallen, they giggled. ALOT! I, on the other hand, reminded JR that we had juice back in the truck to drink and quickly walked away motified.

This child is such a pistol.
