Holding on to Love...

It's times like this that you really put into perspective of what you REALLY have.

My husband is offically on Strike. And the kicker is that our household of seven just went from an income of sustaining to an income of sinking, and very quickly.

Strike pay is $200 a week!

That's it! $800 a month! For us. A family of seven!

And to top it off, no checks are issued until at least October 2nd. Oh, yeah, and they were kind enough to point out that the $200 that you do receive is taxable.

Many people have asked us, "What will you do?" Our only answer is "We do not know." We have eachother and we have our children. Everything else is only material things.

Of course, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that a family of 7 can not survive on $800 a month. So, we have mentally prepared ourselves, as well as our oldest son, that this could become very tough. We could ultimately lose our material possessions because frankly, my children having food to eat is far more important than our nice home.

And the sad part is we are not the only family to be affected by this strike.

So, any and all suggestions on how to deal with this difficult time would be greatly appreciated. You can leave them here or email them to me at becsbunch@aol.com

Blessings to all.

Yep - life just keeps throwing those curve balls. The strike, loss of a beloved family kitty, and just in...a local fireman looses his life in a car vs tree accident. I can't take any more bad news....
