The semester is winding down and I couldn't be happier. I'm so excited to finally be able to enjoy the holidays without the added stresses of assignments and papers. I just finished my five essay questions (which were 1-3 pages each). I hit the submit button and just as Amy said a while ago, hitting submit never felt better!!
Last night, Emilee started puking. While I'd love to say that nobody else will get it, I know that is highly unlikely! We kept the kids home today as some of them just were not feeling up to par. I'm sure tonight the vomit fairy will pay us a visit. If it's not with my kids, it will be my nephew who is complaining of a bad headache and feeling warm. If you would, keep me in your thoughts as I try to push through the rest of this week while trying to deal with the bug that is floating around. I hope it takes a hike....
I have four finals this week, two due by Saturday and two on Friday. Saturday is our Christmas Party here at the house. I hope we have a nice turnout. We haven't had many people say they were coming this year :( Thank goodness it's in the evening as I plan to spend Friday night and Saturday morning disinfecting everything I can. (Doorknobs, lightswitch plates, sinks, toilets, etc.) I'd hate to give anyone a gift that keeps giving for the next three days.
So, our Christmas projects have been put on hold this week. The kids have done their own things such as making ornaments with pipe cleaners and beads. I do have sugar cookies to make but since the kids could be carrying a bug, I don't want to have them helping me with food items...just in case. It certainly wouldn't be fair for me to decorate all the cookies without them. So, they will wait. :D Maybe we will have a kids decorating station at our Christmas Party for the kids to decorate cookies.
The house is quiet (for a moment) so I'm going to go reply to an email I just received (Hi Kathy)! I'll update again later.
