As posted last night, we all gathered around our firepit for one last time. Off in the distance we heard thunder and started seeing the flash of lightening. Knowing we were about to be rained out, Tim grabbed a bag full of what we thought was cardboard and paper. He threw it on the fire, turned around, and suddenly, "Singing in the rain....I'm singing in the rain" starts playing. Emilee bursts into tears because we threw her toy in the fire! What were we to do? For a good 15-20 seconds, this toy is singing in the fire.
Lesson for the day: When you tell your child they can keep their broken toy and that you'll file it in the circular file, make darn sure she's not there when you decide to burn the circular file.

OMG!
I know that wasn't funny when it was happening, but that was funny. I bet you'll be able to laugh about that one day.....say.....10 years?
Take care.
