Are you a 'morning' or 'night' person?
How far away is your farthest immediate family member from you?
We've heard of the "seven year itch" and that the "first ten years are the hardest" when it comes to a long term relationship and/or marriage. What's your opinion? Is there any truth to these sayings?
If you had to choose, what would it be? Working a day shift position that you don't necessarily like but it allows you to be home with your family in the evenings or working a night shift position that you enjoy but takes you away from your family and all evening events?

My answers:
I am a 'night' person! I dread mornings, each one of them!
I have a sibling in New York. I think it's about 12 hours from us.
We found these to be true; however, maybe it was something we preconditioned ourselves into thinking after hearing it for so long. In my experience, each day of a marriage/relationship presents new issues that together, you must contend with. Each day for us is a learning experience. And certainly, each marriage is different too. We married quite young, 18 and 20, after dating exclusively for four years. Our first year of marriage was filled with managing our bills, learning to live with another person, learning to give and take, and dealing with family drama. The second year, we started our family and welcomed our first child 20 months after getting married. Year after year, our family grew yet so did our understanding of what being married really meant. Nearly 13 years later, our marriage is still intact. We have learned so much about ourselves, eachother, and life in general over the years.
Hands down, I'd work the day shift position that would allow me to spend the evenings with my family.
Ok - this is a tough one. During the summer, I am a night person. I cannot handle the heat - so when the sun goes down, I can get outside and enjoy myself.
During the rest of the year, I am a morning person. I work the school year calendar which allows me to be home when my kids are. I have to get up early to get my boy to the bus at 7:10. His schedule is an hour before mine - Middle School vs Elementary. I get up and showered before he wakes, then get him up and out the door. Then I have at least an hour+ to get the lil missy up and around - and I sneak in a load of laundry and whatnot if I can. I accomplish more household work in the morning than after work. Perhaps because after spending the day with 36 4 yr olds, I'm beat!
Oops - I didn't respond to the sibling question......
My sister, Laura, lives in Livonia! Today is her 29th Birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LA!!!
