Post Op Week 4
Life has been busy! Can you believe that it's been four weeks since my hysterectomy & repairs? I'm feeling better day by day. There are still days that I'm painful (very sore is more like it). There are days where my abdomen feels like it's been used by a kick boxer during practice. There are days that all I want to do is sleep all-day-long. And there are days that I feel wonderful. All in all, things are starting to feel more "normal" and I'm very thankful for that.
The girls both have appointments today for physicals. Katelyn is in the 25% for height & weight. She was a whopping 38 pounds! She'll be six next month. (WOW, that is hard to believe). I'll update on Emilee when we return from the office.
Tim's laid off for the rest of this week so we're trying to get some things done around the house. With the surgery and the kids being on summer break, it seems that the house takes a beating. The laundry isn't caught up, the floors need mopped, the bathrooms need a good scrubbing. The closets need cleaned out, the clothes need to be folded and put in the dressers, the beds need to be made and paperwork needs filed. But, I'm only one person and I can't do it all. So...it....sits.
I've come to the conclusion that if I don't meet your expectations as to what a house should look like with seven people (at times more) in it all-day-long, then don't walk through the door (or feel free to come in and show me just how you would do it)! I don't claim to be the housekeeper of a spotless home. I have a clean, safe home filled with love, kids, handprints, laughter, toys, clutter, and many wonderful memories. Our home is where kids can go and be kids without worrying about getting too many toys out, being too noisy, or having to act like anything other than respectable, well-mannered children. Ask the kids how many times I tell them, "I'm not your maid!" I'll admit it. I'm not superwoman! I'm just me!
It's time to get ready to take Em to the doctor. Until later...

AAAA-MEN!
I happen to love smudgey, fingerprinted windows. All too soon they will disappear, right?
Glad to hear you are feeling (mostly!) better! I can't believe it has been nearly a month!
You should really start feeding Katelyn more! hehehehe I am glad that you are starting to feel better! Tell the kids I said a big hello!
