So very shocked

Do you ever wonder where someone is after you've lost touch with them for a while? I recently found myself in that very situation. I have a very dear friend who for a few years, we spent a great deal of time together. We chatted each and every day on the phone and we made weekend trips to their home (as well as them to ours). Unfortunately, her marriage crumbled and this caused our visits to be less frequent. However, our phone calls still continued. Slowly over time, the phone calls stopped as well. I received a Christmas Letter from her almost 2 years ago telling me all about her fiance, his children, her children and herself. She left a phone number and an email address. I tried to call several times, only reaching an answering machine. I emailed several times as well. All attempts went unanswered.

So, last night, I decided that I would try to google her name. I couldn't remember the new fiance's last name but I remembered her married name so I used that. At first I came up with nothing. Then I tried one more search engine. Imagine my surprise when up popped her name. I clicked on the link, excited to perhaps find information on my long lost friend. Imagine my horror, shock, disbelief, (you name it) when this page opens: Indiana's Most Wanted. As I read it over, verifying her name, her birthdate, and yes, it even lists her picture, my mouth couldn't have been more than two inches from the floor. And to top it off, it ends the page with: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO APPREHEND ANY OF THESE SUSPECTS AS THEY MAY BE ARMED AND DANGEROUS.

I am just floored! I guess you just never really know someone.
